So I realized today that it's been almost 3 months since I last logged on! So I come bearing news..... I'm pregnant!!!! :-D About 6 weeks so far, but very excited - and very symptomatic - hah! The morning sickness is starting to make itself known and I've never been more tired, among other things.

My ALS progression has been slow, but steady. 1 flight of stairs has become tiresome, not overwhelming so, but definitely noticeable. Our local chapter SW found me a new *free* stairglide to have installed just to help when more weight gain occurs, but I don't see myself using it more than necessary. Last visit to neuro though was very hopeful with talk of much slower progression than the "norm" (what norm? there's a norm? :P) and I'm learning to just be patient and take each new thing as it comes, when it comes, and to certainly not plan my life strictly around "what may come."

Going to try to make my visits here more frequent - this is such a great community to be a part of!

Hope everyone is well and had a good Easter!!!

Michelle,

Congrats on becoming pregnant. May the mornings pass easier as time goes on. You have given me my happy thought for the day.

See, even unlucky people (PALS) get lucky ! Woo Hoo !

Have you started picking out names yet ? Do you need some wacky suggestions ?

Congrats! Keep that attitude. My brother Tim has Atipical ALS. Unusual very slow progression. You are doing great. Keep it up. Be positive.

Lorie
