Hi everyone im real sorry haven't made a post for a wile just been busy stay on aslchatroom a lot and try to help new peaople that just got dx. I am doing pretty good just got a bipap trying to get use to it only were at night, well take care.

how are you my out look on living with als is stay positive thats the way i am. And i know its hard bev but don't let als get u down that is the wores thing you can do. I have my kids and family to think about so i don't let it get me down no matter what it does to me. yes 18 years is a long time to dell with als but i thank God for everyday. Bev just think about all the people and kids that don't make it to 20 then u should fell blessed like me.

Thanks John for your words of encouragement. We are trying to stay positive and enjoy life.
You are obviously a slow progresser with this disease. I would appreciate some information on your progression. What were your first symptoms- Are you taking any medications like rilutec or lithium? Is there any one thing that you find most helpful such as stretching exercises? Do you still any use of hands, arms or legs? Thanks for all your help. Bev

Hi Bev I hope everything is well. I did work out a lot and walked as much as I could I don't take no meds the only thing I take is sleeping pills I don't have use of my hands they went first I can use anoth to drive my power chair I can stand with help. I have had a feeding tube for three years don't eat by mouth at all but thro it all I keep happy that is my fix on als stay happy and keep smiling if you want to email me click on the yahoo Y thats my email to.
