Default was 3 seconds, but I'm thinking I might put up, people tend to too type much slower here than say a webmaster forum

can you hear me now?

(couldn't help it)

What is up with the "live topic" icon? Is it some redundant feature that shows people are responding to a post?

It is something new that shows that someone has posted in last 24 hours and if I post something it appears on the page right away. Before you had to refresh the page to see any new posts. It can be used similar to a chat.

Hah, I meant compared to web/coding people like myself and Matt, people who tend to type 80-120 words per minute.

I sometimes think I can type faster than I can talk, but that can't be true, because I tend to talk way too fast :)
