Hello, My name is Alan, I live in Maryland and was dx on 3/2008. All of the problems so far have been in my legs. Feels like my shoes weigh 50 lbs each. I am 56 years old and not very happy with this whole thing. But, I live my life every day like I always did (only slower) I am in a 24 week double blind study at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore but the meds don't seem to help. I would like to chat with others and see how everyone else is doing. I had a very hard time getting on the site but I think the webmaster helped.

Welcome to our big forum family! Sorry you had to come looking for us, but I think you'll be glad you found us, at least I hope so.

You will find lots of support and friendship here. I was dx 6/08-mine started with the slurred speech, and now it's really slurred, but I'm still pushing forward every day.

I also have a little of that disease I call PMA- positive mental attitude!
