Hi,
I havent posted much last months but Im still around and I can see that people with only twitches who worry about ALS.

I found this site about 9 months ago and I was totally down, depressed and filled with fear. I had fasciculations and googling this term directly lead to ALS.

I believed nobody who told me that with ALS I would have to have weakness, loss of dexterity.. I tortured myself with searching for patients that start only with fasciculations and fed my anxiety.

Its now almost 1 year since my fasciculations started and I feel almost OK - I dont pay attention to them. If als starts with fascics, there would be also any other signs (if hidden at first, they would show early).

So if you have only fascics and even clean EMG, dont search for rare exceptions (that still were always explained AFAIK - slight weakness that patient didnt notice..). Dont waste time and your mind.

that is excellent advice and i am so glad you are feeling better.
i have had twitches since my mnd started but i have never rated them as a real problem. its the muscle spasms and weakness( neurological and not percieved) that are the problems.
take care
