Info about Duke ALS Clinic

Is there anyone on here who goes to the Duke clinic? This is where my husband has been referred?

What is the first visit like?

I go to Duke's ALS clinic. I've been very pleased with the care I am receiving there. Plan on a long day; it will take 4-5 hours to see everyone.

:)We just got back from the Duke Clinic. Our daughter lives in Raleigh and wanted us to get a second opinion. We were very pleased. They were very helpful and informative. Do plan on spending most of the day. You will see alot of specialists.

Dr. Bedlack is very professional and intelligent. He will work very hard to find something other thatn ALS... The physical therapist will show you great excersizes that will help if you get stiff muscles and joints. Good luck and best wishes

Thanks all. We have our visit in a little more than a week. We are very hopeful that the doctors will be able to tell us something other than ALS.

My husband is starting to have quite a bit of pain and so we are hoping that is a good sign.
