FVC question

My fvc has went from 36 before dx to 58 shortly after dx (started bipap and stopped smoking) Now it is very low about 18 3 months ago. I am still only using bipap at night and breathing seems fine. M y question is about the test, I have felt all along that the test is not valid because my mouth does not work right. I do not get headaches and my oxygen level is in high 90's. any thoughts on this?

Your numbers do seem a little strange. I would have thought the technician would notice the disparity and check to make sure the mouth had a good seal.

I have a problem making a tight sealwhen doing FVC and now we use a mask and that works betterPat
