Lifting

We've recently been having difficulties lifting my Mother off her chair without causing her discomfort. We've been given a lifting belt to go around her waist, but it slips if we leave it loose and it hurts her if we tighten it. Are there any 'belts' that have straps over the shoulders too, like braces(If you know what I mean ):D? . We're still waiting delivery of a riser/recliner chair :?
