:-DHi i was wondering if any of the pals know a way of keeping from spraining your ankle.. I am 5'1" and never realized how much i stand on the balls of my feet to reach things until the other day my left ankle gave out like it was jello and bent in half... It was such a gross feeling, and only hurt a slight bit.. (That is the foot the has "foot drop.") Now i cannot lift up on that foot anymore and it is sore. My right foot, i am able to lift it up still.... My ankle feels like it was sprained but i know it is not, because i had a sprain many years ago and it was excruciating! Is there anyway i can strengthen or prevent my ankle and foot muscle from getting worse?

Hi Sam- sorry to hear about your ankles. From what I know of MND, once the muscle is lost it cannot be strengthened again. Maybe it is time for a foot brace? Just a thought...Cindy
