My husband was recently diagnosed with ALS. We're still waiting for the follow-up appointment with the Kaiser neuro (the nurse told me over the phone), and for our appointment at the ALS Clinic.

One of my daughter's in-law's has ALS and is on some kind of MS medication for it. She says that it actually reversed some of the progress the disease had made. Has anyone heard of this, or do they know what medication it is? I know that every person reacts differently, and I don't want my daughter to think the same will happen for Dad, but I'd like to be able to ask some questions about this at our appointment this week.

Thanks,
Kelly

Hi kelly
it is good to know that your daughter in law had some symptoms of ALS reversed with MS medicaments which work on immune system. More information and details are appreciable.Who prescribed MS medicament? How long has she been using it? How long has she been diagnosed with ALS? Hopefully we could conclude some useful results.
