My left foot has started swelling and turning kinda purple by the end of the day. Can anyone give me some advice on how to treat this problem? As always any help is truly appreciated. Rhonda

Hi Rhonda i would see a Doctor about that .if it were both legs I wouldnt worry so much but the fact it is one makes me think it may be something that has nothing to do with ALS. Keep me posted. Pat

Hi Rhonda,.....last summer my right foot would be swollen and purple by the end of the day. I was sent to a doctor to have the circulation in my legs checked. Also had an ultra sound in case of blood clot. Both tests were negartive. This summer both feet swell and turn purple. Try and keep them elevated when you can. Sharon

Maybe something weird like a spider bite??????

My feet get kind of purple when they are cold-like when I am barefoot outside on concrete. I guess they get pretty purple as my kids have found it quite entertaining to check out mom's purple feet. I haven't thought much of it as it doesn't happen that often-or I don't notice it.

I will look forward to what you find.

Both mine swell but the right more than the left. They get off color but not quite purple yet.
