questions about als and symptoms

my mother is in hospital and dr is not diagnosing her with anything. i was doing research on computer when i came across your sight. her symptoms are loosing her mobility in legs having diffifculty doing things with her hands and complaining of heavyness on her chest. i am not sure if there are even symptoms of als. was wondering how fast symptoms appear and progress

I am not a doctor But how is her heart does she have swollen legs She is in the best place maybe they are waiting for more test to come back. ALS doest really present with those kind of symptoms Good luck Pat
