I was wondering if anyone knows of a research foundation for ALS.

I don't know if I have ALS or not, but quite frankly, either way, I would like to help out. I would like to donate some money to research a cure or treatment, but I don't want to give it to a general foundation where 1/2 the money goes to beaurocratic costs.

Does anyone know od such a place. Thanks in advance.

While there are many great places to donate, my personal favorite is Augie's Quest (http://www.augiesquest.org/). Augie made a deal with the MDA when he initially agreed to partner with them. Not only does he place deadlines on specific accomplishments like mapping the genome for PALS, but the MDA agreed that all money he raises will go directly to ALS research. Nothing deducted for administration.
