OK Yall.
Good News. The muscle looks absolutely fine??? So, evidently, it's uneven weight loss, not atrophy, according to the biopsy. There was absolutely nothing she saw wrong with it, no denervation, no problem with the stains.
I showed her my positive lyme test, she adamantley said, this is most likely lyme, esp. with the positive ELISA and said that i need to see an infections disease lyme expert ASAP.
I have to say, thanks to all of you, you all care so much. I've gotta get outta houston, but for those of you who have alot of what i've had, i would suggest getting specalized testing.
I will be back soon.
regards to all
Jamie

Jamie,
Wonderful news!!!
Hope you get the treatment to for that Lyme and live happily ever after! I hope you never have to worry about something like ALS again.
Perhaps your experience will help someone else who is undxd!
Jamie:
Congratulations. Now you can go on and live your life! Please keep the rest of us struggling with what we believe to be ALS in your prayers.

WOOOO HOOOO!!!! Congratulations, Jamie!!! Never thought I'd be congratulating someone for having lyme disease...but it's just like congratulating Leslie for her dx -- ANYTHING is better than ALS. After being so sure you had ALS, it must feel a bit disorienting to have your life given back...take it easy on yourself. What are you going to do to celebrate, maybe try to get some sleep :)? VERY best wishes for your recovery! Sharon

Good News For You!!!
Another ALS patient that lives in the same County that Tim and I live in, persisted last week that I get Tim a Lyme disease test. I thought he had one from me hounding him when he lived in WV. He is not sure the Doc. had one done. I have convinced the Research/Specialist I seen last week to see Tim and have one done. Among other test.
I do highly recommend it.
Great to hear you don't has ALS!!!
Lorie:-D
Jamie -I am happy for you! I hope that you and your family have a wonderful celebration. I called my doctor to be tested for lyme- I was bitten by a tick- several months ago but thought nothing of it.
I hope you stay on here too :)

Great news, Jamie. Looks like you and your lovely family have a lot of celebrating to do! How wonderful for you all! Cindy
Jamie - I am so happy your biopsy did not show als! You know that it is now ruled out, after the amount of time you have been suffering symptoms. You may feel a let down later on, but just keep the smile on that it is not als. You will figure this out and be well again. :-D Hang in there buddy!! ~Leslie

Jamie, This is fantastic! I hope you are able to get effective treatment. I admit I know nothing about what it entails or how long it takes to recover from Lyme's disease. However it goes though, you will have the support and love of your family and be there to see your babies grow up. That is the most important thing. Sincerely, Holly
