Hand Pain

Does ALS cause pain and discomfort in the hands? My hands are sore at times and even the joints feel kind of sore--not stiff!! My fingers are not cramping and I have no weakness. The pain is not severe and does not limit movement. Any advice. I have a 3 year old I lift all of the time and I do check my strength in my hands(YEAh I know stupied) quite often, too---maybe I am just irritating them.

Have you tried researching what could cause the soreness in your joints? Also, did your doc do a sed rate and ANA to check for rheumatoid? Good places to start! Leslie

My hands didn't feel sore but would cramp if I held a newspaper or a book to read or holding the phone.Anything with holding the same position for more than a few minutes.
