mothers with als

hi everyone,

I am trying to help a friend who has als. she is a mother of a 6 year old girl and a 14 year old boy. she would love to connect with other mothers who have als. if you are interested, please let me know!

my husband died of als when our children were 9 and 11. I can relate to my friend's experience, but not from her point of view. she has all kinds of feelings about not being there for her kids. her 6 year old is adopted, and the thought of her losing ANOTHER mother is so hard.

I posted to you on the other forum.

We also adopted our son that is 6. It is a horrible feeling that you go thru to know that you think you are adopting a child to provide a mother, a father, and a family only to have it ripped away.

I know this is difficult to deal with, but can someone help this woman that needs support from another mom/pal?
