Hello everyone. My FIL hasnt been eating since the 14th. He only drinks enough water to wet his mouth or to take his pills. Is this common for people in the later stages. He was diagnosed in 2003. Its just been really hard on us now because we are thinking the worse. He doesnt want a feeding tube or anything else, we've already talked to him about it.
Hi there. Sorry about your FIL. If he doesn't want a feeding tube there is not much you can do. This is a difficult time and if you read this it may help.

Thank You so much for the link. We have noticed that he has been Sleeping alot. And hes been staying in bed and not getting out of it. We did get him to get in his wheelchair last week and sit with us in the frontroom for awhile and he enjoyed it very much but he was wanting to go back to bed 20 mins later cause he was tired. His Hospice Nurse comes everyday M-F and they've said his heart still sounds good and shows no signs of slowing down yet. And Thank You vmd.
