Hi, My name is Wy and I am new to the forum. I have ALS and am 32 years old. It's been a real struggle and I don't have family care givers. I have to pay the caregivers I have and also recently was in Hospice. I was in Hospice for over a year and fortunately lived over a year so I was discharged. That can be considered a good thing I believe and a bad because now I don't have the care I did. I look forward to seeing the forums people place.

Welcome Wy. I am glad you found us but sorry you have to be here. Have you registered with your local ALS chapter, or are you being seen by an ALS clinic? I can't believe they left you to your own devices! That is really maddening! Perhaps some service group will be willing to "adopt" you and provide a few additional pairs of hands? Better yet, maybe some PALS from Michigan will check in with suggestions.
