The doctor thinks my 15 year old son may have ALS. Does anyone have any information about a child with ALS? We have been through testing for the past 4 months and we will be seeing our 4th neurologist tomorrow. My husband and I are becoming very concerned.....please, if you have any information on a child with ALS we would love to hear from you.

Hi suvopa,

This must be an anguishing period for you. I have been reading these forums for 6+ years and the youngest PALS I've heard of was diagnosed at 18. Fifteen would be extraordinary. Good luck on further testing.

Hi John,

Thanks for your wishes, I'm not sure I know what PALS stands for.

Sorry for the jargon. PALS stands for "Person with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis".

I just posted a few days ago...my niece was 11 when symtpoms first arose. In 8 short months, she was almost totally paralyzed and needed a ventilator.
I will PM you.
