Hello Andrea. I am sorry to hear about your father. This disease is hard on the family. How is your Mother doing? Sisters or brothers? Write to us whenever you like. Cindy
Hello Andrea -
Some of us take Rilutek. Some don't, feeling either that it is not effective or possibly harmful. Why is it thought to be no good in Italy?
I'm very sorry to hear your father is doing so poorly.

Hello Andrea. I am sorry for your fathers condition. Lyme disease is generally found in the North East US spread by deer ticks. Most people here get tested for Lyme because symptoms are similar to ALS. I have never heard of anyone getting stem cells in China and getting better for more than a month or 2 and then they get worse. Dr Huang should not tell you Rilutek is not good. It has been tested. His stem cells have not been. I am sorry we are not able to give you better news for your father.

I wish it weren't true but every one I have read about or seen on TV has had only short term results. If you have buckets of money, sure why not try it. The worst it can do is kill you and the other options aren't that attractive either. But in this poor guys case they've spent $30,000 and 2 years later he's still on a vent and PEG tube and the son is searching the internet for another miracle cure. I find that very sad. Very sad indeed.

Hello Andrea Pancallo. We understand you very well. No need to apologize for your English. You must be very worried about your father. I am sure you look for hope wherever you can find it. Many ALS patients eventually accept the fact that a cure is not possible, and thus find it easier to make plans for the future of their loved ones. But each family manages in the way that is best for them...
You don't say if you and your sisters are students or perhaps young adults with jobs? At any rate it must be great fun to have a small nephew in the home. I bet your Dad takes great joy from his grandchild! All my best to each of you! Cindy

How lucky for your Mom and Dad to have little Roberto so close! I know this must bring great joy to your Dad! It is good that you keep up with your studies. Hard, I know, since your Dad's illness is frightening. But I know how fathers think, and yours wants you to have the best life possible. For the sake of your Dad, try as much as possible not to worry and stick with those studies. You will help your father by keeping the grades up ! Regards, Cindy

I would advise you to not look at this unless you have a strong anti-virus program and/or a pop-up ban on your computer.

OK Andre, there are a lot of things that don't make sense here. We can get past the limited English - I communicate daily with newcomers who only read, write, or speak in a language other than English. But at first you told us your name was Andrea Pancallo and only now you are using the masculine version of the name. Plus you said your dad is very ill and being supported by the Italian government but your family has enough money for expensive trips to China and still more money for even more expensive treatment.
So here's what I think: I think you are young and lonely and in need of support but if an adult in your family is truly ill that person should seek support from a group in your geographic area. And I think you should turn off the internet and go out and meet friends your age. By the way, I'd give this advice especially if you were worried about a sick parent so either way the end result is the same. You live in an area of gthe world known for sunny days so go enjoy yourself! Regards, Cindy

Dear Cindy, my name is Andrea Pancallo but use myself sign me it is andrč with the Andre name because I am original of an Italian town (Naples) where its dialect uses to shorten its names, Andrea ... in italia take part in the forum as SLAITALIA.it where I find Italian people affected with als, the money of the journey in cina has cost debits and sacrifices of other my more well-off relatives of us who have mortgaged their properties .I can try what I said through an Italian site created for my daddy (domenico.4000.it). I am sorry much to receive these thoughts on your side because the reason of my presence is over here for comparing me and looking for other cares in the world. I am really very sorry of your insinuations

Andrea, I would suggest you use the search link above and search for posts about people who have tried the stem cell procedures in China, and the total lack of lasting results they have achieved.
One of the things we try to do on this forum is point people in the right direction so they do not waste their money on scams and miracle cures that do nothing except line the pockets of the scammers with money.
THERE IS NO CURE FOR ALS. PERIOD, no matter what anyone tells you. The people on this site have looked at every option and tried everything we thought might help.
You can learn from others experience and lost money on fake cures or you can ignore our experiences and do whatever you want. That is your choice. We are only trying to give you some good advice. You don't have to take it.
Best of Luck,
Capt. AL
