Yes, his name is Pepe (not Pee, lol) after the little mule used in "Romancing the Stone", the get away vehicle that went everywhere. He is Burgandy. He got his first charge last night so will see how he does today.

WHINE: I will be leaving you all. Apparently I've been caught. Someone e-mailed my daughter and then sent a message with Toto and she figured it out.

WHINE: I hope to be back, but highly unlikely. I have 1 more thread to do and watch out, the $hi+ is going to fly. I'm tired of holding back.

CHEESE: You're the best group of people that I've never met! I love you all.

Sadie,

I didn't know who it was. Please don't leave. I need to. You will understand when I give my final post everything I've had to deal with. Its just not worth it.

05-18-2012, 02:43 AM
Whine.............Nobody is leaving here! That is so not what this forum is all about. We need each other, remember? I need both of you, you both contribute so so much to this family, we are a family ya know. Please stay Sadiemae and Toto, Please....:-(

Whine...........I have re-homed my darling border collie, Mia. She was not happy here at son's with 2 other dogs and 3 cats. She would not stop barking whenever see saw them, we tried everything. I found a nice family with a large yard and a playmate a male border collie. My granddaughter told me she was so happy there and running and playing with the other doggie, which makes me happy, I will miss her soooo very much but she can now be off a chain and run free.....................:-(

So hard Di but you did the right thing for her. for you.

notgivnup
05-18-2012, 03:06 AM
Whine......It was soo hard I cried so long, wished some was here to hold me and tell me I did the right thing, all I got from my son was "I can't believe you let her go". Where's the compassion, sorry. But none of them said they would help, all I ever heard was them yellig at her to shut up (never my son though, he keep saying "she's a puppy", at 2 1/2 not}. I hope I did what was best for her so she can be happy.

kiwisally
05-18-2012, 03:22 AM
So so sorry it had to come to that. Holding your hand and again, you did the right thing for her.

Toto's Dorothy
05-18-2012, 05:26 AM
Di,

I have 3 dogs that people here call yard dogs. If I could find a place for them to be able to run free, I surely would. Don't second guess your decision. I hate to say this, but your dog reminds me of me. Think about it, the dog is chained/confined to a certain living area never to be freed. I am confined to my bed never to be freed. Both of us want freedom. One way or another.

See, you made the right choice.

Toto's Dorothy
05-18-2012, 05:35 AM
I hate technology when it plays tricks on you!

HelenL
05-18-2012, 09:44 AM
Whine: where do I start? Toto, I emailed you directly, hope you got it... why do they give you a hard time for being online is beyond me... I mean it's not like you're not doing your chores by being online! Sending you a giant hug, wish I could do it in person.

Another whine: SadieMae, you can't blame yourself for trying to find out info on our dear Toto, and then getting "caught"... because why should it matter that Toto is onlinei to begin with? Sounds like a prison sentence these days. We need you here as well, we love you both, and you both give great advice, and contribute to our lives. What more can you ask for when you're us?

Another Whine, yet cheese: Di, you did the hardest thing possible for your pup, and she is a pup at 2 1/2 years old... you'll miss each other but you set her free to run, which is what border collies need to do. They need to run, and work... You're definitely a sainti to do that. Will the family bring her over sometimes to visit you? Once she settles in her new life, that would be so good to do. Remember Diane had something similar happen, she ended up sharing her dog with a neighbor that the dog kept going to hang out with. As children, we did the same with a neighbor's dog... she loved her dog, but wasn't able to be there for him, he adored my brother. And 40 years later, we still remember that mutt named Jake. I'm so sorry that you had to do it, but proud of you for doing the right thing.

So any more cheese to pass around? I'm having a graduation party for my daughter, not sure how I'm going to manage to get things done for it, but it shall come together. For those of you who didn't see it on fb, I was asked by MDA/ALS in Boston to receive an award for my "spirit"... and outlook on life lol.... but I couldn't go to Fenway Park and go on the field withi the Red Sox as my daughter has her last high school concert (with a solo) in the hot gymnasium that night. It's "Pops" night, and you can't hear a thing, it''s too crowded, and you can't see anything from the gym floor... but I'll be there. Oh well, guess there's next year, and I'll be there!

Sending you all some chocolate (dark of course) covered strawberries to go with all the whine!

Toto- if you leave, i swear i am calling the damn cops on your stupid kids. im not kidding.
this is not ok and its not up to them if you come on here or not.
they are abusing you. and i hope they see this and realize that im not messing around.
they hold you prisoner. i will sell my soul to get you out of there.

Di we had to give up one of our dogs when we lost our house in Jan 2009. I cried so hard as Taz was mine. We gave him back to the SPCA and I checked there we b. Site everyday. It took 6 months but he got adopted. I cried happy tears that day

05-18-2012, 02:00 PM
Thanks all, I really think is was right decision but I was so attached will take time , maybe I should stop by and see how happy she is...maybe no, I would want to snatch her up again.

HelenL
05-18-2012, 02:34 PM
Whine, my post went to moderation and it hasn't been seen since! Oh well, probably said a naughty word...

Di, you did the right thing for your pooch, she's free to run around and be played with... At that young age (I personally think they're puppies until they're about 5!) they need to work their muscles, and it is a working dog. Not one to like laying around much I bet. I'm sending you a hug, 'cause you did the hardest thing a pet owner can do... and hopefully once she's settled into her new home for a while, you'll get to see her now and again. Remember Lady Diane's dog went and found a new home for himself, came back and visited her all the time, but hung out with the other family? Sharing custody!

sadiemae
05-18-2012, 02:39 PM
We adopted Taz after he had been at the shelter for 6 months. When I took him back 3 yrs later, and he had gained 30 (at least) lbs, and the first thing the guy said to me, "Is that Ziggy?" We had changed his name. I called a few times to check on him and asked if I could come visit, and they said it wouldn't be a good idea. For us it was the right thing keeping Sadiemae, but it still hurts that I had to give him up.

Di, you did the hardest thing ever; I support you in your decision!

Whine: let's get a pwc brigade moving and rescue our friend! I really have a hard time with bullies... What are they afraid of/angry about?

Whine: MIL'a house is dirty and smells; SIL is controlling the process of closing up and selling because she can... Stressing Rog out...

Cheese: congratulations to Helen for your recognition. Maddie is almost walking and she's such a happy baby. 3 days of school left... Woohoo!! 2 trips in June!

Hi Cairn, not sure what your status is, but we have a trapeze bar on order for Dad's hospital bed as he has more arm than leg strength. Hoping it helps him to be able to get comfortable for now.

Alyoop
05-20-2012, 02:03 PM
Cairn, you need to get someone to help you get in a position where your nerves are not being compressed. Not easy tp find a good position. But not having either leg touching is a good start, use some lovely soft pillows.

Morning all, I am glad it's Monday. Will get art out of my head! Was the weekend from ............
I am going to catch up on a couple of programmes I recorded, and drink coffee, then it's into the housework :) boring , I know!

Everyone have a relaxing day, if possible.

So sorry to hear yet another forum member has passed. Some people have asked me why I stay online here, since we all know we're in for more losses... I told them it's because we're here for each other, and no one else really understands some of our day to day issues, not to mention the big one... the elephant that's in our room.

Cheese: feeling a bit productive today as I did a few household chores
Whine: I'm too pooped to do more

Toto's Dorothy

WHINE: Deb is too pooped, Cairn (is it Leslie?), is having bedtime turmoils, Helen has my fuschia colored elewhump in her bedroom for a while, Liz had too much fun?, Sharlenes always working, Aly had housework, Sadie had more bad news and Jen is unemployed.

CHEESE: Deb is finished her chores job well done! Cairn, pillows, pillows and more pillows. You can never have too many pillows. Body pillows are the bestest and my king sized pillows on my twin sized hospital bed! Helen, I will take him back and great news on the award and next year will be here before you know it. Liz had fun? I hope. Sharlenes fantastic! Superwoman. Aly has a clean house, now if I can find a way to get her here. Sadie, I do pray we see the sun shine for a little while. And Jen, retirement is a good thing (I believe its you or is it Meg?)

And to set the story straight: I am not depressed! Never was. I am pi$$ed and devastated over some information that I have gotten.
When I get it all straight with me, I will share.

CHEESE is in the house! Eat, drink and be merry!

My husband has had his feeding tube for over Two And a half yrs and have read MANY times to just pour the formula in to the syringe and let it flow in rather than use the plunger. I didnt think it would work and never even tried it. Well guess what? IT WORKS. And is so much easier.

WHINE: My whole post is gone. And I was so proud of it.

WHINE: Deb is too pooped. Cairn (Leslie?) Is having bedtime turmoils. Helen has my fuschia colored elywhump in her bedroom (I knew I had more room in here). Sharlene is always working. Aly had to do housework. Liz had too much fun? I hope? Sadie gave us more bad news. And Jen is unemployed (I believe you are and its not Meg).

CHEESE: Deb accomplished something! Cairn, one can never have too many pillows. And king size pillows on a twin hospital bed is perfect. And body pillows are the bestest! Helen, congrats on the award. Next year will be here before you know it. And I'll take him back any time. I've enjoyed having a little more room here. Aly, you have a clean house, now to get you to do mine. Liz, you had fun/? I hope so, but sorry about the morning after. Sadie, I do hope we see the sun shine for a little while. Thanks for all the info you're holding. Jen, retirement will be fun! Does Rog have his honey do list ready for you?

My WHINE: I wasn't depressed. Never was. What I was is and still am is pi$$ked and devastated! If that's possible. I got ahold of some information that has crushed me to tiny fragments. I'm having a hard time figuring out what my next step is. When I'm ready, I'll share.

Cheese: Lori found an easier method for tube feedings! Toto and Anja are back! Cairn and I are going to make use of all those decorative pillows. Kiwi's hubby is right on! Jen' countdown is coming to a close.
Whine: another 4 hours in the car tomorrow to see the infectious disease doc about my blooming Candida. I may drop out of my Clinical Trial before my year is up.

HelenL
05-22-2012, 09:38 AM
Whine: it's raining out, just when my burgandy colored peonies are in full bloom... petals will be everywhere.

Cheese: it's not raining on the weekend!

More Cheese and I'll be getting constipated! Toto is back, Jen is almost off for the summer and looking toward Europe... go meet Anja while you're there! Aly has a cleaner house than I, maybe I should go live with you! :) Lori's feeding her husband the easier way (amazing things those directions lol), and Cairn is getting educated on the fine art of placing pillows around your legs, butt and backside... not to mention behind your head so you can actually sit up enough to read or watch tv. Saying hello to Kiwi as well!

Whine: Deb is growing stuff she doesn't want to...! Eat LOTS of yogurt, or take that pill... which is like 1000 times stronger than yogurt. What clinical trial are you in, the Dex one?

Whine: Toto swiped my pillow back, now I'll have to find another fuschia colored one!

Love you ladies!

glupavomomiche

Whine: Deb still feels yuck and I have to go to the neuro today to check in. Double Yuck.
Cheese: I COOKED breakfast this morning! My mom sent over some applewood smoked bacon, so I made some toast with melted cheese and scrambled a couple of eggs to go with it (don't laugh... I had never scrambled eggs before... pretty easy). It was TASTY!! :D

Good morning all,

Whine: I am still battling the pillows but feel I will when the war. Shall ask my daughter for a fuschia pillow...one of my favorite colors.
Whine: Raining here in Washington again (as it frequently does) My purple petuna baskets are taking a beating.
Whine: Nurse says my breathing is getting weaker & my voice is weaker. Geez, how will I give unsolicated advise to everyone?

Cheese: My friend is coming to cut my hair today..yeah!!
Cheese: Daughter getting off work early to come see me

Cheese: just got my cough assist machine, don't feel like I need it when I'm healthy, but my sick 12-year-old will soon put my coughing to the test! So glad it's here before I'm infected!

Leslie, BANK your voice! At least a few phrases like "I love you" and stuff... Of course you could go crazy and say stuff like "you didn't do that right..." but we don't need our voice for that, maybe a british voice would have more authority and they'd actually listen. If you don't have the voice bank software, look around on this site for links, I think one is Model Talker, but not sure.

Cheese: I'm hungry, I need some!

momap53

Cheese: I'm in the Ceftriaxone Clinical Trial (IV antibiotic 2GMs twice daily)
Cheese: Have a monster case of Candida, so believe it's the real thing
Whine: I've had gallstones and sludge.
Candida is uncomfortable and spreading and is no longer responding to yogurt, Acidolphillus tabs, topical creams, or intermittent Fluconozole.
Now taking Fluconozole daily and I suspect that my liver won't like it.

Toto's Dorothy

Oh Deb, I feel for you. I have only ever had 1 yeast in fec tion in my whole life. And that was after I had taken a really strong antibiotic for strep throat. I pray for relief.

Helen, I meant fuschia colored elewhump (elephant) that somehow wandered into your bedroom. But I will gladly take another pillow.

Ah, sorry Jen, you get 10 weeks of "respite" care instead. So your honey do list is shorter, I hope.

Meg, you get the longer list because you are retiring soon. She also gets part of the P O T that was misplaced while on its way to Di's Bakery. How can you lose 4 tons of P O T?

Leslie, remember to add things like, "Get out of my way, B" and a few choice others. We can't always be sweet! Well, maybe that's just me.

Eat, eat and tomorrow you will be bound. It was sure worth the taste and calories going down anyway.
