My grandmother and father have both died from ALS. I have had muscle twitches since I can remember at the age of 27. Im now turning 31. Im not sure my syptoms are consistent with the disease. I never knew my dad so I dont know what his symptoms were initially. I have never experienced muscle weakness or visible atropy, just twitching in all parts of my body.Eye legs arms scalp, you name it. Is this consistent with the disease? Should I be concerned and is there any thing I should avoid over exposure to so I dont develope the disease.

I understand your heightened concern about ALS due to your family history, but there is no reason to think you have early ALS if your only symptom is twitching. Everyone twitches, countless people have an above average amount of fasiculations and there are hundreds of possible causes. You can read more about how harmless "just twitching" is on some of the stickies here or at the website aboutbfs.com
