I am an Occupational Therapy student at San Jose State University, doing a report and presentation on ALS. I chose ALS because I know nothing about it, besides its alias "Lou Gehrig's Disease," and would like to learn more. I am in need of an individual or family member that is able to answer specific questions regarding the effect of the condition on daily life and living with the disease. I am supposed to "interview" one client or family member.

All personal information will remain confidential. I am willing to share my final product of my report and power point.

I would be delighted to share as much information as I can about this disease, as well as personal stories, to my fellow classmates. Thank you so much!

P.S. I am new to the "forum" world, so I hope this gets posted! :-)

Hi StudyOT, I don't know if you are the same person who posted the thread below, or if it was one of your OT classmates at San Jose State:

http://www.alsforums.com/forum/general-discussion-about-als-mnd/9999-eager-learn-more-about-amyotrophic-lateral-sclerosis.html

You might try following up some of the comments there for more info or interview subjects. I was only just diagnosed three months ago so I don't have much experience to relate yet.
