I have been diagnosed with PLS for 3 years. I have severe depression and insomnia. I am attending a depression workshop. Last night I received an email that made fun of depression. I have been very down since receiving that email. Should I mention that the email was heartless to the person who sent it to me.

Sorry about your depression! Are you taking any meds for it?

Yes. I'm on Cymbalta and Trazodone for sleep

Jackdon,

It wouldn't hurt to mention the hurtful email to the person that sent it. Some people may not be aware of the damage they do with such communication. If you bring it to their attention, it may give them an opportunity to apologize.

PLS is not something anybody should be making fun of; neither is depression.
