I wonder if the findings of the amazing formaldehyde study from 2008 were confirmed. It seems that this chemical is the smoking gun of MND: http://www.reuters.com/article/healthNews/idUSN1630786820080416
my home is full of flake/chip boards containing formaldehyde.
formaldehyde is also the suspected chemical to harm the soccer players who got als. an approximately 10% of aspartame (by mass) is broken down into methanol in the small intestine. Most of the methanol is absorbed and quickly converted into formaldehyde.
anyone knows more about the correlation between formaldehyde and als and if there is new data?
i must admit i do not have als. my doc thinks it is of a benign nature.
