I have not heard of this either, but glad to see some hope with drugs.
I live in Londom and have an italian neuro, who talks to european doctors, I will certainly put it on my list of things to check out with him at my next appointment in a couple of weeks. He had already told me he is in the process of preparing a trial for later on in 2009, but have no idea what it is for.

never heard of it either! it's good news to know there's things going on out there that we don't even know about...

my neuro mentioned an "agent" that was going to come to ALS centres in the UK and Ireland later in the year but didn't mention a name. perhaps this is it? i will ask her at next appointment.
