Default HERV-K suppression study

Wondering what others may think of the idea of Human Retro Viruses being thought to be a cause of ALS and use of HIV drugs to treat PALS?

Info on the study:

Default Re: HERV-K suppression study

We discussed this in another thread -- it's early days on all this.

Note this is a Phase I (proof of concept) study designed only to see if anti-HIV drug can suppress the viral load that some PALS have. There is no reason to believe as yet that even if the virus can be suppressed, that the progression of ALS will change. Still a chicken/egg question for the time being.
