Default Have you heard about this research and info on trials?

I know there are many of you on this forum who are quite knowledgeable about the current research on ALS. Is this something you have already discussed? How promising is it, and has any of you enrolled in the trials?

I will post an update on my dad soon in the separate thread... in short, he is still hanging in there...

Default Re: Have you heard about this research and info on trials?

The link mentions research in animal models. This means the treatment is in only the earliest stages of being tested. They may have done a phase 1 trial, if that. Human subjects usually don’t become involved until phase 2. Therapies have to go through a phase 3 trial before they get approved, and not all treatments make it through all phases. You could look into this therapy and see if they’re recruiting for phase 2.
