It is interesting. Here is a link to the paper they are speaking of. http://www.cell.com/cell/fulltext/S0...1:cool:30388-X

What they don’t make clear is they are speaking of the FUS mutation which is FALS. FUS mutations account for about 5 percent of FALS so probably less than one percent of ALS. Every bit of understanding is important and sometimes findings in FALS studies are generalizable to other forms of ALS.
