Because it is a weak TRPV activator, there is actually now a scientific case for using pickle juice for cramps/spasms, based on a recent study. Stronger compounds are being developed.
 
Good to see that's being circulated. I *think* it was being used by a bunch of professional athletes a couple of years ago. Supposed to work really well IIRC.
 
When my brother n law gets cramps he squirts mustard in his mouth and says it helps his cramps in less than 30 minutes. I can't try it if I eat mustard I will throw up.
