Are you talking about doing these biopsies on living patients or on cadaver spinal material (from dead people)? If you're talking about living patients, I'd be really hesitant to let somebody snip material from my spinal cord. The risk of neurological damage from the biopsy seems a bit high for whatever results you are trying to achieve.
