Default Re: H1N1 ALERT please read!

Update-our son came down with H1N1. All three of us were put on Tamiflu. My Husband did get the H1N1 vaccination and we are all doing just fine. :] I can NOT get the H1N1 because I had a reaction to the seasonal flu vaccination. My Husband was also given the Pneumonia Vaccine and will go back in December to get the Shingles Vaccine. He has always had such a time with cold sores that he is a prime candidate to get shingles which we want to avoid at all costs!!

I'm SOOO glad your son ... and you and your husband ... are OK !! Thanks for the update.

About mercury:
M.E.R.C.U.R.Y causes neurodegenerative diseases, ALS included

If there is proof that mercury causes ALS, that is a scientific breakthrough indeed! I'd love to know the source for that. So far, the only causal agents for ALS that I've heard of are the gene implicated in familial ALS and the fruit-bat-toxin link in the Guam cluster. Anybody who eats tuna casserole or a funa salad sandwich gets a higher dose of mercury than is in a vaccine. (I just made that fact up, but it's in line with what I read.)

Got the regular flu shot as always, and also got the H1N1 shot, which gave me a mild flu-like reaction for a couple of hours the next day. I really want the shingles vaccine, but can't seem to get my doctor to focus on it.

Good luck everybody in this flu season!

I am also glad all is well with your son and husband.

Late last week i got the H1N1 shot, no side effects at all and as i posted on another thread re the mercury content the doctor said there is more in the fish you eat than in the shot.

cheers
Peter

I am amazed at the hype that the media has created concerning H1N1. Peter, your doctor is either misinformed or a liar. The maximum mercury you could ingest from a large ocean game fish is just over 3mcg. By contrast, each vaccination drawn from a multi-use vial contains up to 25mcg of the neurotoxin mercury. This video from the University of Calgary shows how fast mercury kills brain neurons:

or

The only way to avoid the mercury is to ask for vaccine in a prepackaged single use syringe. Then you are still subject to the squalene and formaldehyde. You must educate yourself on this issue. The information is there. As an ALS patient who has no spare neurons left, I'll be damned if I intentionally kill more of them by taking a rushed vaccine with no proof of efficacy just to avoid the flu. My wife and young daughter also refuse the vaccines. Brain neurons are too precious, and I don't want my daughter loaded up with mercury and risking neurodegenerative disease. Knowledge is power.

From the FDA website, here is what is in the yummy flu vaccine:

Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine is formulated to contain 15 mcg hemagglutinin (HA) of influenza A/California/07/2009 (H1N1) v-like virus per 0.5 mL dose. Gelatin 0.05% is added as a stabilizer. Each 0.5 mL dose may contain residual amounts of formaldehyde (not more than 100 mcg), polyethylene glycol p-isooctylphenyl ether (not more than 0.02%), and sucrose (not more than 2.0%).

There is no thimerosal used in the manufacturing process of the single-dose presentations of Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine. The multi-dose presentation of Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine contains thimerosal, a mercury derivative, added as a preservative. Each 0.5 mL dose of the multidose presentation contains 25 mcg mercury.

Antibiotics are not used in the manufacture of Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine.

All presentations of Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent Vaccine do not contain latex.

Interesting to note the EPA limit on mercury from fish. It is .1mcg/kg of body weight. I weigh 58 kilograms. My daily mercury limit is 58 x .1 = 5.8 mcg. A single vaccine will give you a whopping 25 mcg of mercury. Double that if you get the regular flu and the H1N1 vaccine! The massive dose of mercury is even more obscene for children with lower body weight.

So the doc says you get more mercury from fish? Those who educate themselves see the lie. My family and I will happily risk the flu. The risk from the neurotoxin mercury is several magnitudes higher.

Beth, here is a video from the University of Calgary showing how mercury causes neurodegenerative disease:

The maximum mercury you could ingest from a large ocean game fish is just over 3mcg. By contrast, each vaccination drawn from a multi-use vial contains up to 25mcg of the neurotoxin mercury

So, if you only eat fish once a year, you're safe. If you should happen to eat fish a couple times a month, in a year's time, you'd get three times the amount of mercury as in a single vaccination drawn from a multi-use vial.

Not saying mercury is harmless ... hardly!! ... and I respect your decisions about your family's health, but to me, there seems to be a greater danger from dying of flu (especially H1N1 and young people) than trace amounts of mercury and neurological impairment, and no link has yet been established to ALS. A huge amount of mercury contamination, as in Japan in the 50s and 60s, is a different kettle of fish, so to speak .... but oddly, with all the deformities and neurological problems mercury produced in the massively contaminated Japanese fishing villages, the rate of ALS in the affected population did not go up.

It's an individual judgement call. You provided good information. Thank you!

It amounts to a nasty game of chance, with your health being at stake. There are other factors to consider such as how many mercury fillings you have in your mouth and how mercury behaves when introduced into the blood stream. If you are lucky, mercury will precipitate out of the blood and lodge in body tissue before reaching the brain. If your luck runs out, mercury will stay in solution quickly crossing the blood-brain barrier, and begin to do its work as seen in the video. The body has only a small capacity to excrete mercury naturally. If you have mercury fillings, that capacity is lost.

If you do eat certain types of fish regularly, you can indeed exceed 25 mcg of mercury over time. Time is the pivotal factor. With the vaccine, your system is "bombed" with 25 mcg of mercury increasing the likelihood that significant amounts of mercury will reach the brain. It isn't humanly possible to consume enough fish in one day to reach 25 mcg of mercury.

One last factor to consider is that the H1N1 vaccine has NOT been tested for safety or efficacy in children under 18, or pregnant women. This is just one reason why all five of the vaccine manufacturers have liability immunity. Children getting the H1N1 are living experiments because short and long term effects are unknown.

Speaking of the safety of our children, a news story raises important issues today:

Before You Vaccinate - Video - FOXNews.com

CDC says that if your child contracts H1N1, it should be treated as the regular flu with no doctor visit required. What will be the long term effect on our children? My daughter is just now recovering from the flu. Fever never went above 101.9.

Everyone must make their own decision, and everyone needs all the information to make an educated decision.

Thanks for the perspective John. However....

You can request vaccines without the preservatives, including mercury. And, as far as mercury fillings go, if I have them, I would never consider having them removed and replaced with other fillings. I would rather not have the flu, which could have an adverse effect on ALS progression if it's a particularly nasty bug.

Zophoon---My dad had a metals test done thru his neuro, and I believe that will tell you how much metals such as mercury has built up in your system. We printed a list from the FDA of the levels of mercury contained in each type of fish. Fish is good for you, but I believe you should try to stick to the fish that have smaller quantity of mercury levels if you eat it on a regular basis. My parents ate fish regularly, but my dads metal test came back normal.

Thanks Bluebear!

My guess is, with all of the testing that has been done on my blood so far, one of the tests was probably for metals. They haven't done the 24 hour urine collection on me yet but I think its because no one wants to hang around me for that long collecting urine.

Zaphoon, The metals test that my dad took required him to fast for 24 hours and then collect his urine over a weekend and that was how it was tested. Not through the blood. You may want to check it out.

Yes clippedwings !!!

Thank you, well said, my son has Mito and was not suppossed to walk or even live this long he will be 10 on Dec 3rd !!! and he is running playing football, is attending public school 4th grade, he is healthier than he has ever been all because I detoxed his little fragile body of all the neurotoxins and envoronmental toxins and replaced his diet with raw whole foods and natural supplements. He went from a dying frozen little body to an active healthy child !

Thank goodness for Dr Green I love you
