Gilyena Trials

I just read that a new study using Gilenya is going to be conducted. I had thought that Gilenya was used to treat autoimmune diseases (specifically MS).

Am I mistaken about the use of Gilenya? Or am I mistake about ALS? My doc said that ALS is not an autoimmune disease.

Here's an explanation of why it might work...

Gilenya may be helpful against ALS

At least the trial is short so they can get some answers relatively quickly
