My husband was diagnosed in June 09. I cann't believe how much als can take away,so fast. He has gone from a man who golfed 18 to 36 holes a day last April. To a brace on his right leg in August ,bi-pap in early November it has been a godsent,a spell & speak in Jan. a peg tube last week , not yet in use. We have a headmaster brace on order should be here next week and a walker is coming today . Things just seem to be going so fast. We are retired Ken just turned 62 on Jan.31. Thanks to everyone here,I have gotten a lot of helpfull hints from this site. He is having a lot of trouble right now with a lot of saliva in the day time, says he feels like he is drowning.Any suggestions on this.
