Forgive me for posting, as I can no longer hold my worrying back, I do not mean to be "just another hypochondriac" visiting the forums.
I am a 23 year old male, for about a month, I've felt a strange "heavy" feeling when trying to talk, as if Im struggling to get my words out.
I've asked several times if I sound differently, if anything sounds strange with me, but everyone around me just says I sound like I always do, which I understand is a great sign.
Three weeks ago I had a panic attack when I had a discharge from my breast, as a man that's quite worrying, I've since been told I'm healthy by a doctor.
However two weeks ago I started having difficulty swallowing, it started with me, choking on some water as I was in my bed, I went up and coughed, walked around and then went back to bed, the sensation from it lasted the next day, and I choked again on some food that evening.
It feels as if my tongue is heavy, and I feel the need to swallow constantly, but the swallowing seems to stick in my throat, and I keep doing it.
As I have read through countless articles on the internet, I keep getting ALS popping up everywhere, bulbar onset ALS.
I've read the "Read before posting" which is why I started this post with apologizing. I don't mean to be a burden to anyone.
As Iam typing this in a state of panic, I feel that my head is heavy, my mouth weak, and my body on alert.
Please, talk to me.

If you're that concerned you need to go speak to your GP. Strangers (even well-meaning ones like us) on the Internet are not going to help you at all.

Dear Kublian - Knowing is better than worrying. Worrying can cause stress that can cause symptoms of many things. A great doctor is your first step. A second opinion with a specialist in the field you're worrying about could be next. Doctors with training to recognize your difficulties is safer than internet articles or strangers. Take care and may all be well. May blessings abound - Bea.

Hi,

I agree that you should see a doctor but, it sounds like a very bad case of anxiety. Anxiety can cause all kinds of physical symptoms and make the ones you have worse.

See your GP and let her/him sort all this out for you.

Best wishes.

Update: I've scheduled to meet my GP tomorrow, however I wanted to update this thread by saying that, I've begun experiencing twitching in my entire body, especially at night! And I dont know what to make of it.

Body wide twitching is usually stress from worrying.

My GP said he has had 5 ALS cases in his career, and he said I dont need an EMG, because according to him I dont have anything to indicate ALS, the muscle twitching is as mentioned by others, most likely anxiety, If they dont eventually stop we will look into why. Thanks everyone that posted their replies, I wish you all the best!
