Let's see if we can get these sub-forums going again.
Years ago I had to go to Chicago so I went to a bar in the airport. (The way things are going today I don't know if they still have bars in airports)
Anyway...
I climbed up on the bar stool and an attractive barmaid came up and I ordered a bottle of Bud placing a $10 dollar bill on the bar. She brought back a cold bottle of Bud and a frosty glass and my change. Didn't need the glass... I've always been a bottle baby. My mother wasn't into breast feeding.
She placed my change on the bar with the receipt on top. As I was enjoying my Bud I looked down at my change... a dollar bill was on top with some other bills under.
I just happen to lift up the bills... four one dollar bills and three pennies.
As she came around just for conversation I told her...
"I've been to Miami, Boston, Portland, DC and Vegas. I have never paid 5 bucks for a bottle of Bud."
She said to me...
"Welcome to Chicago."
Thank goodness my travels never took me to New York City.
