Hello everyone my name is Nikki I'm 23 years old. It all started about a month ago when I was driving home I noticed my forearm felt tired, didn't think much of it. Left it for a few days before I looked it up on google and it came up with ALS at the very top. I started freaking out.
I went to the GP and he performed a quick neuro test and couldn't find anything wrong and told me to come back in a few weeks if it was still acting up.
I went to the chiropractor 4 times over the last month and he couldn't find what was wrong with me.
Two weeks ago the twitching began focused in my right arm and it really set me off panicking. The twitching changed which part of the arm it's in, sometimes it's my bicep, then tricep, then wrist, then hand, then shoulder but it seems to always be in my right arm and it's especially bad when I'm just relaxing.
I went to the GP a second time and she told me to have some blood tests that all came back clean. But she put me on citalopram because my anxiety was through the roof and told me to get in contact with a mental health team.
This last week I was back at the GP where he performed another neuro test which also was fine but told me he's referring me to a neurologist to have a check. I have my appointment with the neurologist next Saturday which feels like an eternity away now.
So as of right now my right arm feels like it's getting more and more tired, it gets tired after using it and feels heavier than my left arm. The strength seems to still be there though. The twitching seems to be getting worse and is mainly focused on my right arm with some twitching also in my legs. I have a spot on my right arm where if I squeeze the skin I have no sensation of feeling.
Some people keep telling me it's just my anxiety going crazy, but it seems to real to be all in my head. I've worried so much I've lost a stone in weight and have not been sleeping or eating properly. I'm just so worried.
