Hi, all. Need some advice, if anyone has some to share. Had the power chair evaluation yesterday. She said I qualified. However, she said she knew she could get back recline. She also said she did not want to ask for leg elevation, but a fixed foot, because of the space. I told her I wanted it anyway, and she said it would be better for me just to transfer to a recliner to put my legs up. I insisted, and she said we would see. She also said she was not sure if she could get tilt, or improved back support. But she said if I got worse, they could order a new one. I said I thought it was once every 5 years, and she said they say that, but they would pay for it anyway. She also said perhaps I should just wait for my ALS clinic appointment, and let them order it, but she went ahead and filled it out and said the chair rep would call me. Will they either pay for another chair or upgrade mine? Or would I be better off refusing this one and wait for the clinic appointment to get them to order it properly?
