my right leg weakness and foot drop began in spring 2012 and fasciuclations by the end of 2012
i do remember however, before that time i had trouble swallowing a sandwich and had tears in my eyes for lack of air and it being stuck in my throat....i was diagnosed with moderate to severe dysphagia in winter 2012 , now for the last month my coughing and choking has increased along with twitches on the left side of the neck with throat spasms....has anyone had this type of progression in bulbar als....my drs. have documented my first symptom as the leg /foot drop,,,i never thought maybe my symptoms started with bulbar?

Hi,

I think I remember one of your previous posts that said your doctors thought you had MS? DO they still think that. Your symptoms could be MS or something else. Have they done an EMG test on you? Sounds like you need to see a neuromuscular specialist. Good luck.

alsornot... what is your husbands opinion? You wrote in a previous post that he is a physician. Your source for information is far more available than most here have.

PS. I have re-read all of your posts, from that the best I could gather is... you have been somewhat diagnosed with MS. MS is not a motor neuron disease. It is entirely different. Maybe the answers you seek would be better found in an MS Forum.
