hello, i have been a member here for quite a few years, my hb was diagnosed with bv/ftd dec 2011 after 2 years of problems. today we had a clinical diagnosis of motor neuron disease... in shock ...
sleeping 12 hours a night, 2/3 hours during the day, apathetic, only eats every 3 days,,
does not have any insight into his disease, thank god x

so sorry for the diagnosis--it is probably just putting a name to the disease you knew your husband had. I hope having a firm diagnosis will help you get the help I am sure you need. He sounds like he is not doing so well. please try to be strong and reach out to us as much as you need.

Thank you x its good to know there is someone out there who could help...

We are here for you if you need us. Sometimes those of us with first-hand experience in this are the only ones who truly understand. I am so sorry you're in this situation but I'm glad you found this community.

In some ways I think the FTD is a blessing for my husband - he doesn't understand what is happening to him. Nothing registers. I think it may be why he is doing so well.
