Beky, would parenteral feeding fix the problem? I know it's very hard to get funded--it's how I fed my MIL. Medicare required a lot of appeals. It sure was easy, though, to do... and all meds were just added to the mix. She was fed while she slept.

I am hoping they might cave on para-enteral before a J-tube, but my insurance doesn't believe in it until my BMI is 18.4. PLS is so poorly researched that it is hard to prove on paper that our progression gets worth with weight loss just as ALS does, and it's a catch 22 because the worse I get, the less energy I have to fight it out.
