Following the Ketogenic DietA ketogenic diet is often used to treat individuals that suffer from epilepsy. The ketogenic diet consists of A high-fat, low-carbohydrate diet that includes normal amounts of protein.Note: The diet provides 3-4 grams of fat for every 1 gram of carbohydrate. Foods such as high-triglyceride dairy products such as butter, cream, mayonnaise, and peanut butter are recommended. Note: Carbohydrates found in breads and starches are eliminated from the diet.
