So far, he's beaten the odds - but the fight against ALS is far from over for Orangeville resident Al Pettit. In 2003, the 59-year-old retired firefighter was officially diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, an incurable neurogenerative disease that causes progressive paralyzation. |
